There is something about fall that calls me upstate. Summer is for going out east but fall is for going north. I trade the beach for the forest. When the leaves begin to change, upstate is the place to be.
New York has a wealth of beautiful country upstate, from Westchester County to the Hudson Valley to the Catskills. I’ve written on here before about some of favorite upstate activities. It is really worth exploring this area one weekend day this fall.
I knew upstate was the perfect background for this fall coat story. We shot at Sam’s Point, a nature reserve not too far from the Catskills. This is a great hike — not as hard as you would think given the jaw-dropping views!
You have probably seen camel coats all over the social media universe this fall, and with good reason. A camel coat is one of my favorite fall basics. It looks good on anyone, and it is a nice break from your your typical outerwear colors, black, gray, and navy. It is also easy to dress up, by wearing over a collared shirt and wool pants, or to dress down, with a sweater and jeans. I definitely recommend finding a great well-fitting camel coat for fall!
